Production Engineer

Job Description This position is an operations leadership role supporting a High Hazard process.  This role does not have direct reports, however, is responsible for decision making and leadership for day to day process operations with the Delrin Chemical Area First Line Supervisor. Roles/Responsibilities: Responsible for the all the Safety, Health and Environmental aspects of the operation Responsible for manufacturing of fluff for the Finishing Area and Packout. Responsible for meeting all business objectives including production volume, yield, cost...etc. Responsible for creating the appropriate work environment and executing HR policies Responsible for conformance to PSM requirements. Coordination with Chemical Area FLS, ATOs, and Uptime Coordinator for maintenance and technical testing and needs Update operations metrics and lead morning meetings with technical, maintenance, and leadership Work with maintenance, technical, and operations as needed to trouble shoot area issues or coordinate incident investigations and problem solving sessions (safety, quality, reliability, etc.) Operations support and representation for Shutdown planning, especially coordination or area shutdown and start up processes Review and approve operating directions, blanking lists, lock out sheets, etc. Complete weekly area report for business leaders Attend daily/weekly maintenance planning meetings to help prioritize work needs for operations; such as developing daily instructions and facilitating training Participate in PSM activities and audits Accountability: Held accountable to SHE metrics:  LWC, TRI, OTJ and any process incidents Held Accountable to fixed and variable  cost vs. PO commitment Held accountable to Production Metrics vs. PO commitments: Volume, Utility (Overall and Operating) , Effectiveness,  Yield (Overall, FPFQY),  Overtime, Disability Job Qualifications Qualifications: Engineering degree, preferably Chemical Engineering At least 5 years' experience in chemical plant operations (ATO, FLS, etc.) High hazard operation experience would be beneficial Strong computer skills (Microsoft Applications, SAP beneficial) Ability to work well with others using influence Able to organize, plan, and prioritize multiple tasks and changing priorities. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
